My name is Kaytee McDaniel and I am a junior at Point Loma Nazarene University. I am a double major in Accounting and International Development Studies and am just recently becoming extremely interested and involved with nonprofit work. Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, I spent a majority of my free time outside participating in various activities such as playing many different sports and exploring a multitude of hiking trails. All of my time spent outdoors soon caused me to fall in love with the natural beauty of the environment. Along with spending a majority of my time outside, I had also been actively involved with my home church, participating in regular services, youth groups and missions trips.

After high school graduation I moved to San Diego to attend college where I have not only been educated in academic subjects, but also have been able to deepen my faith and explore my career interests and goals. As I am currently enrolled in a Nonprofit Management class, I am increasingly beginning to believe the nonprofit sector is where I belong. Because of this, I feel very blessed that I have been given the opportunity to work with Plant With Purpose. I feel as if it is a perfect match, allowing me to combine my faith in God, my love for the environment and business, and my desire to explore the public sector. I believe very much in the sustainable mission Plant With Purpose stands for and look forward to learning about and helping further the organization in any way I can.
Thanks, Kaytee, we’re happy to have you on the Plant With Purpose team!
