Please Welcome Audrie Peveler

My name is Audrie Peveler and I am the Grant Writing Intern for this summer.  I just finished my sophomore year at Point Loma Nazarene University where I am studying International Development Studies, and earning minors in Spanish and Sustainability Studies.  This fall I will be studying abroad in the Dominican Republic, which is where Plant With Purpose began its work in 1984.  I can’t wait to see first-hand the lasting effects of the work that has been done and continues to go on in the villages there!

It was about a year ago that I was introduced to Plant With Purpose, and I have been hooked ever since.  Plant With Purposes’ mission and actions pull at my heart strings for the rural poor.  Through the website and blogs I learned a lot about what PWP does, but I wanted to do more than just stalk their work, which is why I applied for the summer internship!  I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work alongside Aly Lewis and others this summer as I learn more about what they do.

I believe in the work of Plant With Purpose.  I believe that the world is not detrimentally corrupted, but full of hope.  I believe that through building relationships, we can help build a better future for those who are in circumstances of poverty against their will, and I am ecstatic at the opportunity to contribute a small part to this brilliant effort.

We’re very happy to have Audrie with us this summer. She has been an incredible asset to the Plant Wtih Purpose team as an event volunteer over the last year and we’re happy to bring her into our internship program here at Plant With Purpose!” ~Corbyn Small
