Be a Passenger and an Engine!

Friday, May 16 is National Bike to Work Day!

San Diego friends, Bike to Work Day has been postponed until May 30 due to air quality and safety concerns with the ongoing fires. We’ve been keeping a close eye on the developments and have been praying for those affected.

Whether you’re biking on May 16 or 30, find some inspiration in the post below.

Rather than driving your car to the gym on Friday morning, break out that Christmas gift you splurged on last year and get the wheels moving! Dust off your new ride, inflate your tires, polish those rims, and hit the streets! Join riders all over the country as we spin ourselves some social awareness, environmental consciousness, fitness, and joy.

If you need a little incentive:

– 30 concrete reasons why you should take up cycling.

– Register with iCommunte San Diego and enjoy cheering at 90 possible pit stops as well as small prizes.

– If the social, environmental, physical, and emotional benefits don’t have you convinced, try calculating the amount of money you can save by being your own fuel!

Here at Plant With Purpose several of our employees ride their bikes to work daily. Let’s all make an effort to cut our fuel-consumption and bike to work this Friday! All things considered do you really think you can bike to work without a smile on your face?
