It’s official. I’m jealous. Director of Outreach and Development, Doug Satre, and a group of Plant With Purpose friends and supporters are currently in Tanzania visiting our programs, meeting the staff, and hearing firsthand from community members how Plant With Purpose has transformed their lives.
And these Vision Trip participants aren’t the only globetrotters. Plant With Purpose staff from around the world are gathering in Tanzania for the next two weeks to join in our bi-annual International Meeting. The International Meeting is a time where representatives from all of our programs come together to share success stories, encourage each other and learn from mistakes, and cast vision for the future. I can’t wait to hear how it goes!
Please join us in praying for a fruitful international meeting and safe travels for all the delegates attending, as well as a smooth return for Vision Trip participants later this week.
Here’s a picture that Plant With Purpose Board Member, Cathi Lundy, posted while in Tanzania.
Here the group is meeting a Plant With Purpose group of Christians and Muslims who have created a new water cistern together to give much needed water for farming and cooking. Cathi said, “Watching them work together is one of the exciting and moving parts of this trip. Water is so precious that they have to lock the spigot 21 hours a day.”
